Champion short description:

Nilah, the unbound joy, can also give you a lot of fun after reading this guide!

Her passive is “Perfect Synergy”. She uses it to boost the healing and shields of nearby allies. Allies who heal Nilah or grant a shield will receive additional healing or a shield themselves.

When an allied champion heals or shields themselves near Nilah, she gains additional healing or shield.

Whenever Nilah lasthits an enemy minion, she and her closest allied champion gain the normal amount of shared experience plus half the experience that would normally be lost due to sharing. This is why the Sololans are often several levels above AD Carry, but not with Nilah if you are lasthitted well!

Nilah’s Q is “Formless Blade”. The ability has both a passive effect and an active effect. Passive: Attacks and abilities that damage champions ignore a portion of their armor and heal Nilah for a percentage of the damage dealt. This effect scales with Nilah’s critical strike chance and converts excess healing into a shield. When you activate your Q, Nilah attacks in a line and deals damage to all enemies. When Nilah hits an enemy, her attack range and attack speed are briefly increased. Her normal attacks are also boosted, causing them to deal area damage in a cone-shaped area and deal additional damage.

W – Jubilant Veil grants Nilah additional movement speed for a short time. She also takes 25% reduced magic damage and dodges incoming normal attacks for 2.25 seconds. If she touches an allied champion, they are also hidden in the veil, but the protection only lasts for 1.5 seconds.

“Slipstream” is Nilah’s e-skill. Nilah uses it to leap through her intended target, covering a set distance each time and dealing damage to all enemies in her path. She can accumulate up to 2 charges of this ability. Nilah can use her Q – Formless Blade during slipstream, trailing a wave that deals damage after a short delay and grants the improved normal attack of Q – Formless Blade. When using this ability, be aware that you are dashing a set distance. If you are standing in your opponent’s path, you may give them a way to escape if you use your E in close combat.

Your ultimate is “Apotheosis”. Nilah unleashes a surge of power, cracking her whip in an area around her and pulling enemies to the center with a final discharge.

Nilah’s ultimate heals them for a portion of the damage dealt, converting any excess healing into a shield. This effect scales with Nilah’s critical strike chance and is granted to nearby allies.

In teamfights, this ability is extremely dangerous for your opponents, as you are a kind of mobile Orianna Ulti, only it’s not a ball that places it, but Nilah herself. In combination with summoner spell Lightning and Nilah’s E – slipstream, which can be used up to 2x, Nilah has a very long range from which she can start fights for her team.

Nilah is very strong if you play her in combination with strong team fighters in your team. Her ultimate fits very well in any combination of crowd control effects. Likewise, Nilah is a good pick if the enemy team composition includes many champions that are dependent on their normal attacks. Nilah can be played with Engage Supporters like Nautilus or Leona, but is equally comfortable with Enchanters like Taric or Soraka.

Description Skill Order:

As Nilah, you generally prioritize your Q over E and W. You skill your ultimate whenever possible when you reach level 6, 11 and 16.

However, there is a twist to her skill order until you reach level 6. You start the game with your Q to push the minion wave and, if you are weaker at level 1, to get lasthits with the ability from a distance. At level 2, you take the E – slipstream with you to be able to use the combination of E and Q. As every ability is of high value to Nilah, it is definitely worth leveling up all abilities directly at level 3. Until you reach level 6, which is level 4 & 5, you want to prioritize E – slipstream.

After you’ve skilled your ultimate for the first time, prioritize Q until level 10 and E at levels 12 & 13.

Description of the build path:

Nilah is a classic ADC. This means we mainly need these stats: AD, Attack Speed and Crit. Later on, however, armor penetration and lifesteal will also become very important, so you need at least 4 items to fully develop your potential.
