Champion short description:

Shen, the “Eye of Twilight”, watches over his teammates in the Summoner’s Rift from his position on the toplane. Always ready to teleport across the map for an outbreak of battle, he is an ideal choice for players who value team play and enjoy abilities with global reach. With Shen, you get a hero who has a strong laning phase and can effectively snowball his team’s leadership.

Description Skill Order:

Shen’s main source of damage is the boosted autoattacks from his Q, which is why you level it first and maximize it first. You usually want to use the Q when you are close to your opponent and can immediately perform an autoattack. Bonus points are awarded if you draw your sword through your opponent to slow them down and land all 3 boosted attacks. At level 2, take the E, which is also your gapcloser and CC. If you hit it, you can follow up with the Q and autoattacks. You max the E second to reduce the cooldown and be able to use it more often later. In teamfights, it is very important that you hit a good E on an important target or several opponents. Last but not least, level up the W and max it last. However, you should not underestimate this ability, because the fact that you and your allies in the zone cannot take damage from autoattacks can be extremely powerful. In lane, you can trade very effectively with your E-Q-W combo, as you can negate your opponent’s damage, and in teamfights you can use W to block the damage of your opponent’s shooters.

At level 6, you unlock your ultimate ability Geeinter Halt and level it up as soon as possible. It allows you to teleport to an ally after a short channeling, who also gains a fairly large shield from the moment of activation. This ultimate is therefore perfect for turning close fights around or surprising opponents with devastating engages when they are not expecting you. It is usually better to use Shen Ult offensively if one of your allies wants to proactively open a fight. In these situations, you can use your followup to create an advantage that usually overwhelms your opponents quickly. With defensive Ults, on the other hand, you often run the risk of your ally dying before you arrive. In this case, you will remain at the starting location, and the same applies if your lane opponent interrupts the channeling of your ult with his CC. It is therefore important that you are in a safe position where you cannot be interrupted before activating. Therefore, always look for possible ult plays if you have just bought in anyway and are running out of the base.

Items you can put on Shen buy

Description of the build path:

Shen’s role in the team will usually be that of a tank who should be able to withstand as much as possible. We therefore recommend a full tank variant as the standard build so that you can hold out as long as possible in team fights and keep your opponents busy. This means we mainly want to have life, armor and lean resistance on our items when we play Shen.
