Champion short description:

Bel’Veth is a hypermobile jungler who is ideal for an aggressive playstyle with lots of ganks and skirmishes. She also offers huge snowball potential to push the game forward once she has a lead, making her an excellent champion for SoloQ.

Bel’Veth’s greatest strength is her outstanding mobility, as her Q gives her 4 dashes to engage fights, dodge skillshots or escape. She is also very good at clearing skirmishes and teamfights with her ult’s resets as soon as her team gets the first kill. Bel’Veth also has endless scaling by collecting the stacks of her passives and her damage output continues to increase as the game goes on. Due to the enormous amounts of damage Bel’Veth can deal, she is therefore suitable for shredding both tanks and carries alike. These strengths are offset by the fact that Bel’Veth’s early game is somewhat weaker. In early duels, she is therefore forced to outplay her opponents by using her own abilities at the right time and dodging important abilities with her mobility. In addition, as a melee carry, Bel’Veth is very vulnerable to enemy hard CC and therefore has to make sure that she cannot be focused by several opponents at the same time.

All in all, Bel’Veth is one of the champions with a moderate difficulty level and it takes some time to learn her unique playstyle. In return, you will be rewarded with a carry that has plenty of solo carry potential and can also be used to generate mount outplays.

Description Skill Order:

Bel’Veth’s passive is “Death in Purple”, which ensures that after using an ability, her next 2 autoattacks have increased attack speed and she can move through other units. Bel’Veth also gains a “Lavender” stack, which permanently gives her additional attack speed when she takes out a large monster and 2 lavender stacks when she takes out a champion. Bel`Veth also attacks faster and has no upper limit to her attack speed. However, her attacks and hit effects deal 25% less damage and she gains no attack speed when leveling up. In summary, as Bel’Veth you have endless attack speed scaling thanks to these passives and your DPS increases the longer the game lasts. At the same time, you always want to pack 2 autoattacks between your abilities to optimize your damage output.

At level 1, you start with Bel’Veth’s most important ability, her Q “Void Advance”. When activated, Bel’Veth blasts in one of 4 directions, penetrating all enemies in her path, dealing physical damage and triggering hit effects on the first target hit. Each direction has its own cooldown, which scales down with Bel’Veth’s attack speed. This ability also deals 40% additional damage to monsters, making it your main source of damage for clearing camps with multiple monsters. You therefore maximize Q as your first ability. To be successful with Bel’Veth, you need to master the use of this ability, as you can use it to engage, escape or dodge. When and for what purpose you use your dashes often makes the difference between being able to outplay your opponents in fights with Bel’Veth or not.

At level 2 you skill your E, the “Imperial Maelstrom”, for the first time. When activated, Bel’Veth unleashes a storm of blows around her for 1.5 seconds, granting her 70% damage reduction and increased health steal. Each strike hits the enemy with the lowest health within the Maelstrom and the less health that enemy has, the more damage is dealt. The number of hits scales with Bel’Veth’s attack speed. The E can be canceled early by reactivating or using another ability. The E cannot critically hit and deals 50% additional damage to monsters. This makes it great for clearing the jungle camp with single monsters and is maximized accordingly as a second ability. In battles, you can either use E defensively to reduce enemy damage or offensively to finish off your opponents. In particularly close battles, a well-timed E can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Complete your skill set at level 3 with Bel’Veth’s W, “This World and Beyond”. When activated, Bel’Veth flaps her tail to deal magic damage, knocking enemies up for 0.75 seconds and slowing them by 50% for 1.25 seconds. If the W hits an enemy champion, the cooldown of Bel’Veth’s Q is shortened in the direction of the hit champion. The W is your only CC and it is therefore important to hit it in fights. The easiest way to do this is if your opponent cannot see you or has already been hit by an ally with CC. Since Q and E are more important for your jungle clear, W is maximized last.

Bel’Veth’s ultimate ability is the “Endless Feast” and is leveled as usual at levels 6, 11 and 16. It consists of an active and a passive part. Passively, every second attack against the same target causes additional absolute damage, which can be increased indefinitely. In addition, kills and assists when killing enemy champions and epic monsters leave behind a piece of Void Coral. With Bel’Veth’s Ult’s active, you can consume these Void Corals, causing Bel’Veth to jump to the Void Coral’s location, gain a Lavender Stack, and cause an explosion that deals absolute damage to all nearby enemies based on their missing health and slows them. If you use this active, Bel’Veth will also take on her true form for 60 seconds. This increases her maximum health, her movement speed outside of combat, her attack range and her overall attack speed. She can also use her Q to dash across thin walls in her true form. If you consume Void Corals from Baron Nashor or the Riftherald, Bel’Veth will regain her true form for an extended period of 3 minutes and nearby dying minions will be reborn as Void Companions.

Combos: you engage your opponents by dashing at them with Q and hitting your W to reduce your Q cooldown in the direction of the opponent and throw them into the air. During the CC you make 2 autoattacks before using your next Q. You can chase opponents quite far by always alternating Qs and 2 autoattacks. You can use your E either defensively to survive your opponent’s burst or offensively to finish them off. Make sure you don’t overcommit with your dashes and have an escape route if a fight doesn’t turn out as you’d hoped.

Items you can put on Bel’Veth buy

Description of the build path:

Bel’veth is an on-hit champion and scales accordingly with attack speed. However, you can’t just buy attack speed because otherwise she can be killed directly in team fights. That’s why we also need some Bruiser items, which give us AD and health.
