Inspiration

Champion short description:
Cho’Gath fearsome and unstoppable Juggernaut. He embodies the concept of a relentless, gigantic monster capable of dominating the front line and striking fear into the hearts of enemies. This giant is able to influence enemies by its appearance alone, forcing them to keep their distance.
A key aspect of Cho’Gath’s playstyle is his ability to act as a tank for his team. Thanks to his ultimate, he is naturally robust and with his natural resilience, he is good at intercepting enemy attacks and protecting his allies. This allows his team to focus on damage potential while Cho’Gath draws the enemy’s attention. In addition, Cho’Gath is capable of dealing enormous damage with his ultimate ability “Eat”. This makes him a major threat later in the game, as he becomes increasingly difficult to defeat and can almost oneshot an opponent at the same time. His playstyle requires strategic positioning and timing of his abilities to make the most of his tank ability and damage potential.

Description Skill Order:
Almost any combination is playable in the skill order. But we’re only looking at the tank variant and it turns out that you should maximize E first for additional waveclear, then W for the increased silence and finally Q. Now you might ask yourself why you maximize the strongest ability at the end. This is because the cooldown of the ability does not decrease the more points you put into it. Only the damage increases. As already mentioned, there is also the option of maximizing both the W and the Q, which is particularly useful in ranged matchups, as you can rarely hit them with the E.

Description of the build path:
When it comes to items, we are only looking at the Tank Cho’gath and not the Ap variant, as it has been shown in recent years that the AP Cho’gath tends to work worse on the top lane. With the tank variant, you go for either an armor or a magic resistance option, depending on the lane opponent. Then, depending on the opponent’s damage distribution (i.e. more AD or AP), you have to adapt the other items accordingly. One or two AP items can also work well even on tank Cho’gath.
