Champion short description:
Fizz is an AP Assassin and relatively easy to learn compared to others in his role. He is therefore a good starter for people who enjoy assassins.
Unfortunately, Fizz hasn’t really been strong at higher levels for ages, as he has obvious counterplay. However, this shouldn’t bother you too much if you’re still a beginner or playing in lower Elos, as he can be very efficient there. Fizz snowballs games extremely quickly and mercilessly and can win games single-handedly with an advantage. These advantages can also be played out relatively well in lane if the opponent makes mistakes.
So let’s get started with the guide 🙂

Description Skill Order:
Fizz always maximizes his abilities in the same order: E is his most important ability, as it combines all tasks. It is used to push, waveclear, trade and dodge abilities. However, this is where Fizz’s greatest weakness lies: too many of his kit’s strengths are bundled into a single ability. This means you can’t trade and push at the same time, so you have to be very careful how you use the E. I’ll give you some important tips on this in a moment.
Next, we maximize the W, as it delivers more damage than the Q. The Q is maximized last.
A key aspect of Fizz is understanding his E correctly, as it can be used in two different ways: fast or slow. When Fizz activates the E, he jumps onto his staff and becomes invulnerable. After that, there are two options. In the slow version, known as SlowE, Fizz simply lands back on the ground and deals damage in a large radius around himself while slowing enemies down considerably. This version is particularly suitable for waveclearing, as it hits melee and ranged minions at the same time. In the fast version, the so-called FastE, Fizz jumps further and deals the same damage at the landing position as the SlowE, but with a significantly smaller radius and without the slowing effect. On the other hand, this version is more flexible and faster, as you can adjust the direction better during the jump. With the SlowE, you can also easily influence the direction with a movement command, but not as much as with the FastE. In most cases, around 80%, you will use the SlowE as the slowing effect is very useful and it is easier to hit opponents.
Since the E is maximized and deals the most damage, it is the central ability for trades. However, the problem is that if you go in aggressively with the E, you leave yourself vulnerable. The solution is to use the Q to escape via minions. This brings us to Fizz’s most important trade pattern within the lane, which you should definitely master. Since the W is an autoattack reset and we also want to trigger Electrify, the trade starts with the FastE as long as the opponent is in range. Ideally, you should dodge an opponent’s ability. Then attack the opponent with a normal autoattack, use the autoattack reset with W and finally use Q to jump back to a minion. This trade is very fast and a good reaction to aggressive opponents who try to poke you with abilities. The key to success here is to hit the FastE to trigger the extra damage from Electrify.
Fizz’s ult flies very slowly, which makes it easier for enemies to dodge it as long as they can see Fizz. Therefore, try to throw the ult out of the opponent’s line of sight, as this makes it harder to dodge. The animation of the ult can also be hidden during the Q. For example, if you are pushed into your own lane, you can surprise an opponent who is too far ahead by using the Q on a minion and performing the ult during the dash. The Q doesn’t do much damage anyway, but in combination with Ignite it’s enough to deal enough damage for a kill.
If you are ahead in the game, you have enough damage anyway and should actively use your E to dodge. Especially when your ult hits, many opponents will try to hit you with CC before the shark snaps. You can use your E to avoid this and guarantee kills.

Description of the build path:
Fizz is an AP Burst Mage. This means that we mainly need AP and ability speed to recover our abilities more quickly. As a third or fourth item, we recommend a little magic penetration so that you can also do something against opponents with some magic resistance.
