Champion short description:

Professor Cecil B. Heimerdinger is a brilliant and eccentric Yordle scientist who is regarded as one of Piltover’s brightest and most innovative inventors. He pursues his research so relentlessly that his obsession could almost be mistaken for a disease. He thrives on tackling the seemingly unsolvable questions of the universe. Although his theories often seem misunderstood and esoteric, Heimerdinger has created one of the most marvelous – not to mention deadly – machines in all of Piltover and is constantly tweaking his inventions to make them even more efficient.

In the Summoner’s Rift, Heimerdinger is best used as a damage-heavy mage in the support position, terrorizing the enemy botlane with the poke of his missiles and turrets. This works best in combination with a marksman who has a long range. Caitlyn, Varus or Ashe, for example, would be predestined to join Heimerdinger in making life hell for opponents in the lane. His greatest strengths lie in exerting a lot of pressure in the early game and also being able to win outnumbered situations. It’s also difficult to close down on a Heimerdinger and he’s a good team fighter later on. His weaknesses lie in the fact that he is very dependent on hitting his skillshots and has to fight in the area of influence of his towers in order to develop his full strength. This means that Heimerdinger is not an easy champion to play, but a moderately challenging one. Later in the game, the revered inventor impresses with his zone control, which allows you to besiege towers and keep opponents away from neutral objectives. Heimerdinger is also known for his high damage to Baron Nashor and you can often sneak a Baron buff if your opponents are momentarily inattentive.

Description Skill Order:

With Heimerdinger you start at level 1 with the Q “H-28G Evolution Turret”, in which Heimerdinger builds a turret that attacks nearby enemies. You can have up to 3 of these turrets active at the same time and, in addition to their normal attacks, they also have a boosted attack that is triggered as soon as a turret is fully charged. This happens slowly over time and is accelerated when Heimerdinger hits his W. The boosted attack is also triggered immediately when Heimerdinger hits his E. Using the turrets, Heimerdinger can create a zone that enemies cannot enter without taking damage. It is advisable to place the turrets in a triangle, as this prevents enemy area damage from easily damaging multiple turrets. You maximize Q second, as your W is more reliable for poking.

At level 2, you take the W “Hextech Micromissiles” with Heimerdinger, which you then maximize first. It is your main source of damage, which you can use to poke your opponents again and again. Heimerdinger fires a series of missiles that converge at the position of the mouse pointer. Depending on how you aim, you can fire all the missiles at one enemy or hit several enemies.

At level 3, you level up the E “CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade”, in which Heimerdinger throws a grenade at the target location, causing magical damage to all enemies hit and stunning all enemies directly hit. It also slows down targets near the point of impact. In combination with your towers, this ability represents your defense. If an enemy jumps on you and is stunned between your turrets, this often means a gray screen for them, as you can unload your entire burst on them. Maximize the E last, as its cooldown is not reduced with additional ability points.

As with all champions, put points into your ultimate ability “Upgrade!!!” whenever possible. This boosts the next ability you use with additional effects. The Q sets up a particularly large tower whose attacks are strengthened, deal area damage and slow down enemies hit. The W fires a significantly higher number of rockets, so that the damage caused increases considerably. The E throws a grenade that bounces three times, causes more damage and stuns or slows in correspondingly larger areas. When you use which upgrade depends on the situation. Basically, the boosted Q is particularly good for keeping dodging enemies at bay. The boosted W can be used to burst enemy champions, especially while they are immobilized. The boosted E, on the other hand, is good for catching unwary opponents.

Items you can put on Heimerdinger (Outdated) buy

Description of the build path:

Heimerdinger is a so-called Dot Mage, i.e. a champion who can deal damage over time. This means we need AP items that also have the effect of dealing damage over time as soon as enemies receive damage. Of course, we also need ability speed and, later on, magic penetration in order to be able to kill champions with a little magic resistance.
