Champion short description:

Jarvan IV is one of the most solid all-round junglers. He is known for his powerful ganks and his wombo combo possibilities, which have already secured one or two Worlds finals. Due to his utility-heavy kit, Jarvan has already had his place in many metas and is still strongly represented in both SoloQ and competitive League of Legends. But J4’s 1v1 potential should not be underestimated either, as he brings a huge amount of attack speed and percentage damage. Jarvan can therefore be picked in many situations and can round off most team compositions well.

Description Skill Order:

With Jarvan IV, you always want to start with the E, as it not only gives you a lot of attack speed, but also your leasing team members as soon as you throw the standard on the ground. Then skill up the Q – now you have unlocked what is probably the best earlygame combo in the game, which gives you a lot of damage, a dash and a knockup. At level 3, you can then decide whether you want to do a full clear, in which case you would skill the Q a second time, or whether you want to be ready to gank on the map or are still a little unsure about the clear, in which case you skill the W. You should max the Q first, as it provides the most damage.

Tip: If you have put enough level into the Q or have acquired enough cooldown reduction, you can cast your Q again on the same E after an E-Q combo before it expires or is ready again!

The second thing you should do is max E, as this will give both you and your teammates more attack speed, which can be very useful in big team fights or to force Baron Nashor. Last but not least, max the W, as this is a comparatively insignificant ability in Jarvan’s kit, and of course the R whenever the opportunity arises.

Combo: E-Q-W-R-AA-AA-AA-Q – Jarvan IV’s combo is relatively simple. You use your previously mentioned E-Q combo on the opponents as soon as they are too close to each other (ideally without them seeing you first). Then use your W to get the maximum shield and slow down all enemies. Then lock up as many enemies as possible with your R and autoattack them until you can Q’n back to your E. A Stopwatch can be very helpful here, as it lets you survive longer after your R.

Tip: You can use Flash during or directly after your E-Q combo so that all enemies in your new position are thrown up! Please note, however, that your E-Q only deals damage if it also hits the opponent, which is why it can sometimes be smarter to flash before the combo.

Items you can put on Jarvan IV. buy

Description of the build path:

Jarvan is a classic bruiser or diver, so he wants to be both tanky and deal good damage. To do this, we need AD and life above all, but skill speed is also very important for the Divers so that you can really kill an opponent with an Engage. The third or fourth item is tank items, which are particularly important to avoid being goneshotted in a teamfight, including some bruiser items, which have a defensive effect.
