Champion short description:

Syndra “The Dark Ruler” is a mage who uses the power of dark energy.

Syndra is a strongly scaling mage, with high range, CC and Execute damage. However, she is immobile, which is why you have to pay close attention to her positioning.

I recommend you give the champion a try, as she can perform some cool combos with her dark spheres and deals a lot of damage, especially in the lategame. Even tanks have to be careful, as Syndra causes “True Damage” with her W ability in the lategame.

Description Skill Order:

Syndra’s Waveclear ability is the “Q Dark Sphere”. After 0.6 seconds, Syndra summons a Dark Sphere at the target location, which deals magic damage to all enemies hit and remains there for 6 seconds. You always maximize the Q ability first.

At level 2, you skill the famous “Scatter the Weak”. Your E ability in combination with a dark sphere “Q” is a stun that lasts for 1.5 seconds. Without a dark sphere, it is merely a knockback of the opponent. This ability gives Syndra safety in lane and trade potential. However, the ability should be used with caution, as while it provides offensive opportunities for good trades or kills, it is also Syndra’s only way to protect herself from a gank from the opposing jungler or an engage from the opposing bot lane. If you hit the Q and then the stun with the E, you also get a boost on the passive. More on this at the end of the skills.

The third skill is “W- Willpower”. This spell allows you to pick up a dark sphere, a minion or a jungle monster (no Baron, Herald and Drake), carry it with you for up to 5 seconds and finally throw it off you. This ability is maximized second and gains True Damage in the lategame with enough passive boosts.

Syndra’s ultimate “Unleashed Power” is a single target point and click spell that deals high damage. The more balls in Syndra’s vicinity, the more damage her ultimate ability deals. This means you always want to use Q and W first before using the ultimate. syndra always has 3 spheres flying around her. This means her ultimate always deals damage for 3 spheres, but you can bump this up to 7 if you use the timings well.

Syndra’s passive is easy to understand.
Syndra collects boosts up to a maximum of 120. 40 or more boosts give her an improvement to one of her Q abilities. This allows Syndra to accumulate 2 increases to her Q and use them with minimal delay.
After the next 20 increases, her W ability improves and causes additional True Damage.
At 80 increases, her E is improved. This gains a wider radius and slows down enemies hit.
At 100 increases, the Ultimate ability receives an upgrade and executes enemies above a certain health point.
At 120 increases, Syndra receives her final upgrade. She receives 15% Ability Power as a value. This is the passive ability of half a Rabadon.

How do you collect these boosts? You get 5 boosts whenever you level up an ability. In other words, each level is 5 boosts, so to speak. You get a boost when you hit an opponent with 2 abilities at a maximum distance of 4 seconds (8 second cooldown). You also get some mana back, which definitely helps Syndra’s mana balance without a blue buff.
Also, every cannon vassal that Syndra lasthits gives you a boost. In other words, cannons are even more important for Syndra than they already are.
