Champion short description:

Veigar “The Little Master of Evil” is a scaling controlmage through and through. His unlimited scaling and his ability to restrict his opponents’ freedom of movement with his cage or even stun them make him a major threat, especially later in the game. And who hasn’t experienced being trapped in Veigar’s cage, with no Flash ready and Veigar’s team running towards you? This makes it all the more important for Veigar to use the cage well. In the following guide, you’ll learn how to do this and what’s important if you want to play the little villain Veigar.

The little villain’s passive is Phenomenal Malevolent Powers. Veigar receives a boost whenever he hits an enemy champion with an ability and 5 boosts when he kills or assists in killing a champion. Veigar gains 1 ability power per boost.

Q – Calamitous Strike grants Veigar an increase to his passive for each minion killed by the ability. This effect is tripled against cannon minions and large monsters.

Veigar shoots a bolt of dark energy in the chosen direction, dealing magic damage to the first two enemy units hit.

Dark Matter is Veigar’s W. After 1.25 seconds, dark matter falls from the sky at the selected target location, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit. The cooldown of Veigar’s W is reduced based on Veigar’s passive increases. If you have farmed a high number of boosts later in the game, you can spam this ability like there’s no tomorrow.

The cage that Veigar is so well known for is Veigar’s E – Event Horizon. Veigar bends the boundaries of space-time, creating a cage that materializes after 0.5 seconds and lasts for 3 seconds. All enemies that touch the boundaries of the cage are stunned on the spot for 1.5 to 2.5 seconds, increasing with skill level.

Big bang? Yes really, that’s the name of Veigar’s ultimate. Veigar hits a selected champion with a point and click attack, causing them to take significant magic damage, which is increased by 0-100% depending on the target’s missing health.

Description Skill Order:

Veigar’s skill sequence is designed to maximize “Q – Infernal Strike”.

At level 2, you always opt for the cage, which you can use both offensively and defensively. You usually hold it and simply react to the actions of your supporter or the opponent’s bot lane.

At level 4, you then skill “W-Dark Matter” for the first time and put the second point in at level 8. Then maximize Q until the end at level 9 and then start maximizing E from level 10-13 (11 ult).

You skill your ultimate whenever possible. (6|11|16).

Description of the build path:

Veigar is an AP Burst Mage. This means that we mainly need AP and ability speed to recover our abilities more quickly. As a third or fourth item, we recommend a little magic penetration so that you can also do something against opponents with some magic resistance.
