Unlike what you see a Zilean doing on the Midlane, Zilean as a Supporter is more about making the team fast and reviving important members in critical situations. “But that’s what Midlane Zilean does too?” That’s true, but I think you’ll realize what I mean when you read on.

Zilean’s passive ability “Time in a Bottle” (P) is a non-negligible part of his strength. This collects experience points over time and then lets you give them to an ally/allies when they are about to level up. The same number of experience points is then credited to you. This means that you are often 1 or even 2 levels above your opponent, which should not be underestimated due to the attributes you receive for each level.

The “Rewind” (W) allows you to subtract 10 seconds from the cooldown of the other two basic skills so that they are (almost) ready again.

Time Bend (E) can be used on an enemy or ally to either slow them down (on enemies) or increase their movement speed. Since this ability benefits greatly from points in terms of the respective strength of the movement speed change, it is the ability that is brought to level 5 first.

Zilean’s “Time Bomb” lets him throw a bomb that explodes after a short time and causes damage in a radius. If you hit an opponent or a teammate with it, they will be stuck to them for the rest of the time. The special feature comes when you attach another bomb to someone who is already carrying a bomb (thanks to the “rewind” (W)). The first bomb then explodes prematurely and stuns all enemies in the damage radius.

Finally, there is the “Time Shift” (R), which can be attached to yourself or to another player. If they run out of health points in the next few seconds, they will be revived after a short time.
