Champion short description:
Are you a LoL beginner? Very good. And you like cats? Perfect.
Then you’ve come to the right place. Yuumi is not only probably the best beginner champion of all, but also a cuddly kitten…with a book? Why not!
She heals, she scolds, she meows or meows, depending, and she shoots remote-controlled rockets… so she’s a regular house cat. But unlike most cats, she wants to be picked up and carried everywhere. (Warning: don’t try this with a neighbor’s cat, and certainly not with a stranger’s cat)
And because, like a real cat, she is a little suspicious of everyone else, she will only give special favors to her Botlane partner and enjoy them herself – so no stray play style! So she is probably the best champion when it comes to playing duo with a botlane, especially if they have more experience than you, as they can take you by the hand while you strut calmly and always together across the gulf.

Description Skill Order:
Yuumi’s passive “Fluffy Friendship” is already mentioned here: if she hangs out with the person she has spent the most time with in the game so far, they both get small bonuses. This part of the passive needs no further attention, as it simply means that you want to spend as much time as possible with your botlane partner in order to benefit from these bonuses. The second effect of “Fluffy Friendship” heals Yuumi or the ally when Yuumi damages an opponent, which also has a relatively long cooldown early in the game, but more on that later.
“Hand in Paw” (W) is Yuumi’s central ability, as it allows her to bind herself to an ally so that she is protected on the one hand, and so that the ally can then receive Yuumi’s various buffs, heals and shields on the other. But be careful, if you are traveling alone or jumping from one champion to another and then get hit by a CC that immobilizes you, you cannot jump on an ally with “Hand in Paw” (W) for the next 5 seconds and are therefore a very (very) easy target. To prevent this, you need to pay a lot of attention to which abilities your opponents have already used and which they still have available, but in practice this usually just means that you don’t jump around much between your teammates, but – also because of the bonuses – simply stay with the botlaner and only jump around in an emergency.
Yuumi’s “stalking projectiles” (Q) are probably her most fun ability: a projectile that is remote-controlled when you are connected to a fellow player. The fun thing about it is that it’s not completely remote-controlled, but only for the beginning, and then jets off like a rocket, damaging the first target and slowing it down. Fittingly, it’s also the ability you invest points in whenever possible (after the ult, of course), and with more and more points, it also feels more and more like a missile in terms of damage. What makes the Stalking Projectiles (Q) so important, however, is the interaction with the passive Fluffy Friendship, which can heal Yuumis and/or her connected teammate if you damage the enemy in any way – which in most cases will be these Stalking Projectiles (Q). Thanks to this combination, the lane can be greatly simplified by continuously hitting the mini missiles.
Yuumi’s “Ratzfatz” (E) is surprisingly a versatile ability – not in its use, but because Yuumi gives herself or the connected teammate a shield, attack speed and some movement speed, and in case you’re connected, restores some mana to them as well.
Her “Last Chapter” (R) consists of several waves, which damages and slows enemies they hit, and heals teammates, or if they’re out of health, the amount of healing is converted into a shield instead. A fairly simple ability, which of course gets stronger when more targets are hit with it, but again – if you have to choose between dealing more damage or giving more healing, healing (or shields) are often better, especially because you are not “responsible for damage” as a support, especially later in the game.
One last note on point distribution, as this is slightly different than most other champions, but it’s simply that you always, as usual, put points into the Ult “Last Chapter” (R) when you can, and then prioritize “Stalking Projectiles” (Q) over “Ratzfatz” (E) until you’re left with “Hand in Paw” (W), resulting in a unique back and forth of points (see above in the graphic).
